                                            Obituary


Herman Edward Coleman
was born on January 14, 1937 in Maury County, Tennessee to Robert Benjamin and Mary Aline Coleman. He was the youngest of seven children. He departed this life on May 15, 2012 at the young age of 75.


He came to Nashville as a young boy and obtained his education in the Davidson County Public School System. He later served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Military, Army Branch, and received an Honorable Discharge. He spent most of his adult life as a glass glazer.


Herman enjoyed hunting and fishing, and played a “mean” game of pool, which was his passion.


Herman also had a ‘heart of passion’ for his children and grandchildren. He adored them. Around the early, 1970’s Herman moved to Chicago, Illinois where he spent the remainder of his life.


He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Anthony; sisters, Luberta Russell and Eliza Mai Coleman.


Herman
leaves to cherish his memories, children, Rhonda Fletcher, Bruce Coleman, Pastor Rollan (Yvonne) Coleman, Lisa Waters, and Lawanna Johnson; brother, Robert J. Coleman; sisters, Harriett McFarland, Sarah Coleman and  Nellie Coleman, all of Paducah, Kentucky; special nieces and nephews, James Russell, Jr., Vivian White, Lawrence Russell and Rita J. Russell; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
